Covenant Knight Hawk REM
1998 dark bay/brown Morgan stallion
"Covenant Renewed" resin sculpted by Chris Jolly & Stacy Tumlinson, painted by Chris Jolly
Sire: Wachuset Black Hawk {r} [Cantieglen Eclipse -x- Wachuset Lady Ash]
Dam: Willo Pond Georgi Anna {r} [Covenant Knight Heir -x- Ashwood Georgi Girl]
Well, that was fairly painless. Given my recent struggle with Pedigree Distraction Disorder, I figured it would take several rounds to finalize a name and pedigree for my newest little guy! I love it when things fall into place, when I started looking into Lippitt Morgans I knew I just had to work Covenant Knight Heir into my guy's pedigree -- I mean, come on, how perfect is that name to be the sire for a "Covenant Renewed" resin?!? LOL! However, when looking through options, Covenant Knight Heir was a little old for what I was after. I decided to use one of his daughters, and use the AMAZING Wachuset Black Hawk as the sire for my boy. With those two stallions, how could I not use Covenant Knight Hawk as the name for the newest member to River's Edge Morgans? HA!
I must say, Chris outdid herself on this paint job. She did catch some grief on Facebook when she posted photos upon his completion as some felt that her description of "brown" was not correct for this guy. Dark bay, brown, bay-brown, brown-bay, sooty bay, whatever you call him, you'd better call him handsome! After the week I've had, you can't imagine the giddy smile that this guy brought to my face upon opening his box.
